FCC Backup Power Rules Under Fire

The U.S. Court of Appeals has agreed to hear, on an expedited basis, an appeal of the FCC's so-called backup power rules, which aren't yet in effect. The rules are the FCC's second attempt to impose backup power requirements on telecommunications carriers. Public-safety groups are lining up behind the FCC to defend the backup power order.
