The FCC sent letters to 32,000 VHF and UHF public-safety licensees whose records contain wideband emission designators in the FCC database, reminding them of the upcoming narrowbanding deadline. An FCC official said more than one-third of public-safety licenses have been updated to narrowband operation. ...
...The letter cites information resources the FCC and other federal agencies have available, including its website at www.fcc.gov/narrowbanding. Licensees can also send questions by email to narrowbanding@fcc.gov or by contacting Roberto Mussenden of the PSHSB Policy Division at Roberto.Mussenden@fcc.gov. The FCC’s Consumer Center number is 888-225-5322.
