At TelecomWeb news break's posting time, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released its Order de-linking the Upper 700 MHz D Block from the other blocks offered in the 700 MHz Auction (Auction 73), which closed earlier this week (TelecomWeb news break, March 18). In addition, the commission released the names of the actual auction winners, with Verizon Wireless and AT&T at the forefront.
